Then there are hundreds of small and pretender networks out there as well. Most aren’t even worth the time to mention, but for very narrow niches may offer value. The problem is all the time spent wading through them to find which are worth anything is often a major resource suck that winds up going nowhere. In the end, sticking with the major players is usually the best. They have wider audiences and the best chances of still being around in a few years so all your community building hasn’t gone to waste.
