When it comes to seasoning a cast iron skillet you will not have to look far to find plenty of people willing to tell you just how it should be done. The whole purpose in buying a cast iron pan is to have a Teflon-free, all natural non-stick surface on which to cook. To keep cast iron cookware's non-stick performance at its peak, it needs to be maintained through proper seasoning.
